In this project, SOTI Research and Innovation and the research team will investigate the applicability of data analysis for estimating the status of a motor vehicle. We will identify data sources available in modern vehicles, characterize these data sources, and compare available sources from different manufacturers. The results will provide insights into the suitability of data analysis for current vehicles and will allow us to speculate about the use of data analysis for the next generation of connected automated vehicles. This exploratory project will provide a foundation for quantitative analysis of data collected from connected automated vehicles and the SOTI Research and Innovation and the research team intend to build on this foundation in future work.
